Classical Young Artists Program

CYAP is our in-school music program, designed to start students on their path of music. CYAP is integrated into their academic schedule and provides the fundamentals needed to succeed in the beginner stages of music. Most of our CYAP students go on to study keyboard or string instruments, and join orchestras or choral programs, and continue to enrich the musical and artistic culture in their school.

The Eleos Curriculum

Eleos students are guided by our proprietary original curriculum which blends the strengths of the European, American, and Suzuki schools of music. Our curriculum balances technical training, a thorough understanding of the language of music, an understanding of the context of music history, and a love for the craft. Our four courses give students a framework to excel in their craft:

The Introductions (beginner) Course takes a student from the simplest melodies to a 2-4 page sonata or concerto. The Foundations (intermediate) Course takes students through the developmental repertoire and technique required to handle major works of music. The Proficiency (advanced) Course surveys concert literature and teaches students to develop an audition or competition program with which they can succeed in the music field. Finally, the Mastery (artist) Course pair musicians with apprenticeships, mentorships, and career projects to develop them as artists in the professional world.

Conservatory

Eleos Music’s Conservatory Program is primarily designed around THE PORTFOLIO. For those that wish to build the skills necessary to thrive in the professional field of music, supplement their degree programs, or base their education entirely on a body of work, the conservatory program is designed to give the growing musician a portfolio of works and accomplishments that prove their competence, professionalism, and competitive value.

Performances

Our Studio Recitals are semi-formal performances that give students an opportunity to perform their current works for family and friends. We maintain a friendly atmosphere where students can develop confidence on the stage, have an opportunity to hear their more mature colleagues, and inspire those who are less experienced. We hold our recitals twice during each academic year. The recitals are organized into hour-long performance blocks so that students can stay for a reasonable time and hear other students who play at a variety of levels and and instruments.

Intermediate students perform in their own private Round Recitals each time the graduate from a Round. These performances culminate in a Round 4 recital that is 35 minutes in length with 3 distinct pieces, including an exploratory work that the student learns entirely on their own.

Our Summer Chamber Music Program culminates in a concert where students play together in small groups from early intermediate chamber works to concert-level works for our advanced players.
